What to know
WHERE IS THE STUDIO LOCATED?
Our studio space is located at 115 Morris Street, Suite 111 Durham, NC in The Novus buidling.
DOES THE STUDIO HAVE PARKING?
Parking is available in The Novus parking deck using the entrance on Main Street. First time riders and Members who have parking included in their membership will receive a 90 minute parking validation after class. Pack riders, drop in riders, and members using the ‘no parking’ discount will not receive a parking validation after class. Street parking is also available in downtown Durham and is typically widely available for morning classes.
I’m a first time rider, what do I need to know?
First, we are so excited to ride with you! You must arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled class start time to ensure you are properly set up for your ride. Wear comfortable athletic clothing and bring a water bottle. We will also provide towels and spin shoes for you to wear. If you have your own spin shoes with either SPD or Delta cleats, great! Last, if you’re nervous, don’t be - we’re here for you.
Do i need to bring my own shoes?
You must wear clip in shoes to ride at Revel. We will have shoes available to use, but you may also bring your own cycling shoes. Our bikes are compatible with either SPD or Delta cleats.
what else do i need to KNOW?
Wear comfortable athletic clothing and an open-mind! Please leave your cell phone outside of the room and make sure any Apple watches or watches that light up are turned off. The Revel Ride is an opportunity for us all to disconnect and technology can distract from the experience.
Listen to your body throughout the ride. If you feel dizzy or have difficulty breathing, slow your legs stop pedaling and carefully stop your pedal stroke. Raise your hand to alert the instructor and they will help you. You can unclip your shoes from the bike by kicking your heels out or by releasing the velcro on your shoes and sliding your feet right out.
Does your studio have showerS?
Our studio location has two showers, towels, and other amenities for you to get ready for work or a night out after a ride. We also have lockers for you to store your personal items.
DO YOU HAVE WATER?
We have a water-filling station and bottled water for purchase.
HOW DO I BOOK A CLASS?
You can book a class using our free Revel Durham app for iOS and Android or through our website at www.reveldurham.com. Classes will go live on Sundays at 3:00pm for the upcoming week. Members will have access to two weeks; all other riders will have access to one week.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I’M RUNNING LATE?
Riders who arrive after the scheduled class time will not be able to participate in the ride! We know things happen, but opening the door during class is both a significant disruption and a safety concern for our riders and staff that we are seeking to avoid whenever possible. Once the studio door is closed at the scheduled class time, it will remain closed for the duration of class. If you are running behind and are not able to be at the studio at least 2 minutes before class, your bike may be released to a rider on standby. If you are running behind and might arrive just as class starts, give us a call to let us know so we can hold your bike. Overall, please give yourself plenty of time to get to class on time so you can get settled in and enjoy a great ride!
what happens if i need to cancel class?
Day One Members may cancel classes 6 hours or more before class start time with no fee; if Day One Members cancel within 6 hours of class, there is a late cancellation fee of $15.
Unlimited and 8x per Month Members may cancel class 10 hours before class start time with no fee; if Unlimited and 8x per Month Members cancel within 10 hours of class, there is a late cancellation fee of $15 and 8x per Month Members will lose the credit used to book the ride.

what happens if i do not show up for class?
If you do not cancel your class and do not show up for class, you will be charged a $20 No Show fee. Don’t forget to cancel if you are unable to attend so that another rider can have your spot!
How does the waitlist work?
WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO LEAVE EARLY?
If you need to leave class early, we kindly request that you tell the Instructor and Studio Team ahead of time so that we can coordinate your departure and limit disruption to the class. If you need to leave before stretch, we ask that you do so immediately following the last song to minimize distractions for the rest of the class during cool down.
If you’re on the waitlist and a bike opens up, you’ll be automatically added to class. If you’re no longer able to attend, please remove yourself from the waitlist to make space for other riders.
WHAT DISCOUNTS DO YOU OFFER?
Students, healthcare workers, educators and school staff, military active-duty and veterans, all receive 20% off with your respective ID. Discount can be stacked with the parking discount.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP?
We know things happen, and we want to give you as much flexibility as possible to cancel your membership. Riders can cancel recurring memberships up to five days before their membership renews by sending an email to info@reveldurham.com requesting a cancellation. We are excited about the consumer protections offered in the FTC’s forthcoming Click-To-Cancel rule and will provide options for online cancellation as soon as they are available through our booking platform. When this rule is implemented, all cancellations can be completed by the member with no notice required.
