KYLE
Kyle is a born and raised Durham native. He spent his early career with Duke Basketball and Duke Football before transitioning into sports tech at Teamworks. He’s an entrepreneur who has started multiple companies to help people connect with each other through shared passions and experiences- former athletes looking for career advice at NextPlay and Swifties following The Eras Tour with Swift Alert.
Kyle hopes to bring all of these experiences together to make Revel a place where people can build community through an athletic endeavor and- hopefully- plenty of Taylor Swift.
CO-FOUNDER + STUDIO MANAGER
ASHLEY
Originally from Brighton, MI and having gone to school in OH, Ashley has worked her way down the country and now resides in Durham as of 2022. Discovering spin marked a pivotal moment in her fitness journey. It provided her a way to not only challenge herself physically, but a means to improve her mindset behind health and wellness as a whole. Now, she looks forward to being part of this same theme that Revel drives; to honor the work already done while simultaneously encouraging growth.
When off the bike, Ashley can be found working in the OR, baking something sweet, or chillin' with her 20-lb ragdoll cat, Gilbert!
Hailing from Southern California, Ethan brought his golden state energy to North Carolina in 2019. After searching for months for the right exercise class, he discovered and fell in love with the high energy and uplifting spirit of spin classes.
As a recent Duke grad, you can find Ethan rooting for Blue Devils at a restaurant near you. Outside the studio, you’ll find Ethan out on a run around Duke’s campus and fulfilling Californian tropes of sipping matcha lattes and eating acai bowls.
ETHAN
Originally from New York City, Ainsley moved to Durham to study Biology at Duke University. Coincidentally, she also found her passion for spin at Wilson Cycling Studio while studying at Duke. What started as a college workout quickly became her favorite way to recharge and connect with community.
After searching the Triangle for a studio to call home, she found Revel and fell in love. When she’s not at the studio, you can find her researching the genetics of starvation resistance at her lab at Duke, exploring the Durham food scene, and spending time with her roommates and their cats, Ozzie and Cheesecake.
AINSLEY
Debbie comes from Atlanta, GA where she grew up dancing, playing volleyball, and tagging along in her two older brothers' outdoor adventures. During undergrad she discovered rythym-based cycling which combined her love of music and community driven activity and provided the support she needed to "make it out" of Georgia Tech.
She moved to Durham last year for graduate school at Duke in pursuit of her PhD in Pharmacology and Cancer Biology, and serendipitously found Revel! From dance to cycling the studio has always been a safe-space for Debbie and she is excited to support Revel as a safe-space for the community.
When she is not at Revel or in the lab, Debbie is outside and following the sunshine, either running, walking, or enjoying a good book.
DEBBIE
Born and raised in the Hudson Valley, New York, McKenna moved to Durham in 2023.
She attended her first spin class in 2021 and was instantly hooked—surprised by just how fun the upbeat environment was! She discovered Revel during a transformative chapter in her life and feels deeply inspired by the welcoming, high-energy environment cultivated by Mia, Kyle, and the entire Revel team.
Outside of the studio, McKenna is a graphic designer and illustrator. In her downtime, you can find her hanging with her two cats, Rigatoni and Gnocchi, taking a pottery class, or cafe hopping throughout Durham.
MCKENNA
Originally from Pennsylvania, Grace moved to Durham, NC in March 2025. She played sports in high school, but started taking a more serious interest in fitness after college when she realized just how sedentary life can be.
In her spare time, Grace loves trying new restaurants with her Fiancé and trying new outdoor activities.
GRACE
SARAH
Sarah is originally from the northern Virginia area but moved to Durham, NC for graduate school at Duke and to be near family. Sarah was introduced to indoor cycling by a friend and it quickly became a form of self-care. Sarah enjoys indoor cycling because of the upbeat energy and opportunity to show up for herself in the form of movement.
Revel is a place Sarah comes to surround herself with a positive, uplifting community. When Sarah is not at Revel, she enjoys watching sports (Go Hokies & Blue Devils), binge watching reality TV, outdoor walks, and trying local restaurants with a gluten free menu.
As a busy college student trying to find consistency in her personal fitness routine, Jewell stumbled upon indoor cycling classes at Duke and quickly fell in love with this form of movement.
As an athlete and member of Duke’s women’s club volleyball team, Jewell has always thrived in team environments where you can be pushed, supported, and inspired by your teammates. She found that same sense of connection in rhythm-based rides.
Cycling offers a physical and mental challenge without the pressure of competition and while still giving the momentum of moving as a unit. Jewell is so excited to bond over a good sweat, fire music, and even better vibes in this community!
JEWELL
Luz was born in Venezuela, raised in sunny Miami, spent a few years in the hustle of New York, and has now planted her roots in Durham with no plans of leaving anytime soon. With a strong background in operations and a passion for hospitality, she thrives on creating thoughtful, seamless experiences for others.
A fan of yoga, indoor cycling, cold plunges, and sauna and proudly the slowest long-distance runner you’ll ever meet! Luz is excited to continue connecting with the Revel community and bring her years of operational experience to help create a warm, welcoming environment for everyone who walks through the doors.
